2011 MWMA Fall Summit

Solid waste and environmental officials from 25 cities and 15 states
across the country recently convened in Houston for the 2011 Municipal Waste
Management Association (MWMA) Fall Summit.
The Fall Summit, held this year from October 24-26 in Houston, TX,
convenes public sector leaders with private sector executives to discuss
trends, emerging technologies and best practices in zero waste, illegal dumping
code enforcement, tracking and route mapping technologies, and other
issues. “The MWMA Fall Summit is
probably one of the most important meetings I attend all year,” said Chris
Gonaver, Director of Environmental Services for the City of San Diego.
