MAYORS' INFORMATION EXCHANGE
Subject: CITY LAWSUITS AGAINST THE GUN INDUSTRY
The Mayors' Information Exchange will allow several mayors an opportunity to discuss legal theories and standing and pending lawsuits against the gun industry, including those already brought by the cities of New Orleans and Chicago. The meeting will take place from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the new Chicago Emergency Communications Center.
A segment of the meeting is open to the press and a press availability will follow.

Among the mayors expected to attend is host Mayor Richard M. Daley, New Orleans Mayor Marc H. Morial, Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas, Palatine (IL) Mayor Rita Mullins and Gary (IN) Mayor Scott King.
Other cities such as San Francisco, Portland (OR), St. Louis and Newark (NJ) are expected to have legal advisors present at the meeting. In addition to a number of cities' attorneys, cities' law enforcement officials and police investigators, who have worked on the issue, will also be in attendance.
