On Thursday, May 4th The DollarWise Campaign and the Bank of America Foundation joined Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser for her annual “InnoMAYtion” event at Carnegie Library. The event highlighted the city’s Aspire to Entrepreneurship program, which helps returning residents learn critical skills to start their own businesses after incarceration.
The DollarWise Campaign awarded Washington, D.C. and its Aspire program with a $10,000 2017 Innovation Grant to integrate financial education into the Aspire curriculum.
DollarWise congratulates Mayor Bowser and the Aspire to Entrepreneurship program for winning the DollarWise Innovation Grant and applauds them for their exceptional dedication and success.
Each year, the DollarWise Campaign provides three $10,000 grants to cities with innovative and replicable programs that integrate financial education into English as a Second Language, Public Housing, and Prisoner Re-entry initiatives.
