Resolution #24: Strongly Supporting the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program reaffirms support for the Community Development Block Grant program at HUD funded at $4.7 billion, and opposes the Administration's "Strengthening America's Communities Initiative."

Resolution #25: The Community Development Block Grant Program offered by the Federation of Mayors in Puerto Rico calls for the Community Development Block Grant program to be kept at the Department of Housing and Urban Development at a funding level of $4.7 billion.

Resolution #26: Ending Chronic Homelessness: Endorsing Innovative Policies To Successfully Implement Plans to End Homelessness supports increased investment and policy to end chronic homelessness, which would include funding for permanent housing, endorsement of the Services for Ending Long'term Homelessness Act, and reauthorization of McKinney- Vento.

Resolution #27: Ending Chronic Homelessness Through Federal, State, and Local Partnerships urges mayors to work toward ending chronic homelessness, commends the Administration's increased spending recommendation in the FY2006 budget along with $200 million proposed for the Samaritan Initiative, and calls on Congress to authorize a proposed consolidation of McKinney-Vento Funds to allow greater local flexibility.

Resolution #28: Streamlining the Definition of Homelessness in America requests that the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness and the President call for all federal departments and funding sources to adopt a common definition of homelessness based on that which is currently used by the United States Department of Education.

Resolution #29: Full Funding of Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program urges HUD to request full and adequate funding for the Section 8 HCV Program and to provide for enhanced program flexibility to help local Housing Authorities accomplish the maximum benefit and serve the largest number of individuals possible with the funds made available.

Resolution #30: Resolution of Support for HUD's State and Local Housing Flexibility Act of 2005 supports the need for greater flexibility and simplification of cumbersome requirements.

Resolution #31: Opposition to Weakening the Community Reinvestment Act opposes proposals by the federal bank and thrift regulatory agencies to weaken CRA exams and regulations ensuring that banks abide by their obligations and make loans, investments, branches, and basic banking accounts available to low-and moderate-income communities.

Resolution #32: Promoting Homeownership, Community Revitalization and Affordable Housing Through The Single Family Homeownership Tax Credit urges the Congress and the Administration to expeditiously enact the Administration's Single Family Homeowneship Tax Credit Initiative to create as many as 200,000 affordable homes for low-income families over the next 4 years.

Resolution #33: U.S. Conference of Mayors Resolution: Predatory Lending Support for the "Prohibit Predatory Lending Act" to Strengthen Protections for Homeowners opposes the enactment of the Responsible Lending Act (H.R. 1295) and supports the enactment of the Prohibit Predatory Lending Act (H.R. 1182).

Resolution #34: Inclusive Home Design Act of 2005 supports the independence of persons with disabilities and seniors by promoting the concept of including visitability standards to increase access to the homes of friends, family and neighbors., and urges Congress to enact H.R. 1441, the inclusive Home Design Act of 2005.
