Mayor Bryan K. Barnett Will Lead the 88th U.S. Conference of Mayors Winter Meeting in Washington, DC, Bringing Together Local and Federal Leaders

Washington, D.C. – With mayoral leadership ascendant in America, hundreds of mayors from across the country are set to gather for the U.S Conference of Mayors’ (USCM) 88th Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C. next week to address the state of the nation’s cities and share solutions that make cities more prosperous, safe, and inclusive. Led by USCM President Bryan K. Barnett, Mayor of Rochester Hills, MI, the three-day conference will run from January 22-January 24 at the Capital Hilton, bringing together local and federal leaders to tackle the biggest issues affecting the American people.
An opening press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, January 22 at 11:45 am ET.
With more than 85 percent of Americans living in U.S. metropolitan areas, mayors are on the frontlines of today’s challenges and have consistently called on Washington to draw on mayoral expertise.
During the Meeting, the bipartisan group will hold sessions on a range of issues, including gun violence prevention, climate change, immigration, youth engagement, affordable housing, the 2020 Census, economic mobility, and infrastructure.
